Alexandra Mackenzie - University of Saint Andrews (Scotland) in "Santa Clara II zona" - July 2008

This year, during July 2008, Alexandra, a participant natural from England, but living in Scotland, was here in Santa Clara II zona. She taught basic english, and, at the same time, gave them some tips about recycling inorganic waste. At the same time, just as the last days from her stay, she did a video of the community, recording the history, and amazing stories told by communards. A few pics here during her time with us... Carl Hennung & Johan Svenson - General participants - (Sweeden) in "Santa Clara II zona" - Octuber 2007

Between Octuber-November 2007, we got the visit of Carl and Johan, both came from Sweeden, but they were visiting Peru previously, and helped during the earthquake in Pisco, that same year. We went by boat to another community, around 30 minutes NE far away from Iquitos, downstream the Amazon river. Santa Clara II zona is the name of this community. People are very friendly, and some of them are cocama-cocamilla tribe descendants. They taught basic english, and, at the same time, gave them some tips about recycling inorganic waste. This was our first approach to this community where foreigners were received. Everything runs more than ok!! cool!
